I got the Hornet today, I must say I liked the quality and looks right out of the box, so my review might tend a bit to the positive side First to the quality. Almost everything is stone solid (at least on the same level as my other 2 Glocks from KWA and Stark Arms) except the lower grip part (the one you can screw on/off so no big deal). The magazine fits perfectly (maybe the best I have ever seen) no wobble there. There are of cores no original Glock markings but as I don’t care about that I will not change my mind on that. For me the feel and the looks outside are good, I would give it a 9/10. Inside I was happy too, all material seems solid and the Hop up is easy to adjust. The uses some transparent plastic for the nozzle which is a plus for me, as I can see the Spring and the Valves and would notice if they fail. There is a lot of oil in here that is on useless places, so I’ll give it a 9/10 here too. I put in an older 12g CO2 Umarex cartridge and got about 2 and a half magazines out of it. (temp. ca. 18°C) I like the precision of the Hornet and the feel of the recoil. 10/10 I was impressed. I tried my GBB magazines form KWA but they didn’t fit (no surprise there) and I tried at least 4 different Glock holsters. It’s a bit a gamble there, some do fit some scratch a lot and some just don’t. I would give it a 6/10 when it comes to accessory’s I got 2 extra magazines and they all look heavy duty and it’s easy to fill them with a speed loader, I managed to fill a perfect dual stack on my first try without even paying attention. Never had that before. So, I would give the magazines a 10/10 too. Conclusion: I really like this gun and I can’t wait to try it out in my next game. I hope the high-quality feel is not a fake and it holds up to my expectations. As a comparison for that test I used my KWA G17 (really dislike that thing) and my SA G19 (my go-to pistol till now). Hope I could help some people with their secondary decision and everyone can always ask if they want to know something more about ASP Black Hornet |
